Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to direct a film on dacoit Putlibai?

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra seems to have some interesting projects up his sleeve. Just as he sets out to shoot a sports drama with Farhan Akhtar as a boxer, he has reportedly identified another subject - and that is of dacoit Putlibai.
Fascinated by the journey and transformation of a dancer to a dacoit to avenge the death of her partner, the filmmaker, reports a tabloid, has already registered the title with the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA).Mehra has also confirmed the news and reportedly added, saying that he is working on three scripts and that he will direct the movie. When he was asked if he had approached anyone for the role, he did not confirm or deny, and simply said that the role of Putlibai is a role of a lifetime.
Putlibao was reportedly born to a poor family in Chambal. She danced to feed her family. It was during one such performance she met Sultana Daku. They fell in love, but he was soon killed by the cops. She then took up guns to avenge her lover's death.
