Rajkumar Hirani's 'immigration comedy' to Raj & Krishna DK's action-thriller: Here are Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming films in 2021

Shah Rukh Khan fans have been eagerly waiting for the actor to announce his next film. Essaying a vertically challenged role in ‘Zero’ was SRK’s last big screen outing, which hit the screens in December 2018. While Shah Rukh Khan may not have announced his next movie, the actor sure has been taking some good time to decide how he wants to entertain his fans next. After having reportedly turned down over 20 scripts, here’s a sneak-peek of all the exciting films that SRK has in store!

Shah Rukh Khan is going to collaborate with maverick filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for a social comedy about immigration. Revealing interesting details about the film, a source had informed Mumabi Mirror, “Like all Raju films, it revolves around a serious, globally relevant issue and is treated with gentle humour. The story moves between Punjab and Canada. This guy is jovial, he’ll make you laugh and get emotional. Shah Rukh is growing his hair for the part.” This venture was scheduled to go on floors in August this year, but the pandemic has postponed the shoot.

Shah Rukh Khan has also signed up for a comedy action-thriller which will be directed by Raj & Krishna DK. The actor will reportedly be producing this stylish movie that will be shot in exotic locations in India and abroad. A source quoted by Mumbai Mirror stated, “SRK has signed the stylish action film that is infused with Raj and DK’s brand of quirky humour and will go on the floors next year. It is a space he hasn’t explored yet. An international stunt crew will be designing the action in the film." SRK is expected to be paired opposite an A-list actress for this film, which the makers were aiming to release in 2021.

Shah Rukh Khan is also rumoured to join forces with South hit-maker Atlee. The venture will reportedly be in collaboration with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Director Atlee has been working with the creative team of Dharma Productions on the screenplay, which is said to have a pan-India appeal. The said movie will be a Hindi-Tamil bilingual. This out-an-out commercial entertainer was to go on floors in early 2021, but seems like the schedule may get postponed.

Action is definitely on Shah Rukh Khan’s mind as the actor is all set to hit the silver screen in style with some thrilling stunts as he collaborates with Siddharth Anand. The actor will reportedly reunite with his ‘Chennai Express’ co-star Deepika Padukone for this film, which promises Badshah Khan performing heavy duty action. Shah Rukh Khan is rumoured to start shooting for this film in October, before Rajkumar Hirani’s venture.
