Rajesh Kumar has now shared a touching tribute to his late co-star Satish Shah while talking about Rakesh Bedi’s recent success in 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'. He believes Satish would have been the happiest to see his old friend and FTII batchmate receive so much love for his performance.
Rajesh also revealed in a recent interview that the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai cast still feels Satish’s presence in their conversations and often remembers him with fondness and laughter.
Rajesh Kumar’s fond memories
Rajesh Kumar told Bollywood Bubble that the 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' team still talks about Satish Shah regularly. He noted that whenever they share memes or jokes in their WhatsApp group, someone inevitably says Satish would have had the perfect reply or that “Kaka” would have made it even funnier.
He added that Satish’s absence is felt, but his spirit remains alive in their group chats. Satish Shah would have been thrilled
Rajesh expressed that Satish Shah would have been especially delighted to see Rakesh Bedi’s success in Dhurandhar.
He said, “I don’t think he has gone, he’s just there. He would have been the happiest to see Rakesh Bedi today. They were batchmates from FTII. Satish ji, Rakesh Bedi sir and David Dhawan were all batchmates.”
Rakesh Bedi’s performance
Rakesh Bedi played Jameel Jamali, a loud Pakistani politician in 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'. His performance has been widely praised for its humour and impact; the climax portions especially impressed the audiences. Our ETimes review praised his performance by writing, "Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal are in top form once again, and Rakesh Bedi captivates in his fascinating role, relishing every shade of his character’s disloyalty. Danish Pandor as Uzair deserved more screen space."
