Raghav Juyal joins Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’; set to portray Meghanad in Ranbir Kapoor’s epic
Raghav Juyal, who recently impressed audiences with his act in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’*, continues to scale new heights in his career. The actor has now landed his most significant project yet, Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated mythological epic ‘Ramayana.’ The film also features Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in pivotal roles.
According to Variety India, Raghav has been cast as Meghanad (also known as Indrajit), the eldest son of Ravana and the crown prince of Lanka, in Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana.’ His character will be featured in ‘Ramayana Part 2,’ slated for release during Diwali 2027. The report mentions that the part was originally meant for Vikrant Massey, but after things didn’t pan out, the makers approached Raghav, who quickly agreed to take it up. The ‘Kill’ actor is expected to start shooting his portions once he recovers from his injury./
In the ‘Ramayana,’ Meghanad is celebrated as one of the mightiest warriors and holds a crucial place in the legendary battle between Lord Rama and Ravana. He is known for his exceptional abilities, including waging combat from the skies while concealing himself within the clouds.
Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ boasts a stellar star cast. Ranbir steps into the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will portray Goddess Sita. Yash, known for ‘KGF,’ transforms into the fierce Ravana. Joining them are Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, alongside Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan. Reports also suggest that Vijay Sethupathi might be part of the magnum opus, though there’s no official confirmation yet.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The makers are reportedly planning a grand public unveiling on Ram Navami, which will mark the first official reveal of the film’s characters and visual world. As per a Mid-Day report, the event is expected to be held on March 27 at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India. ‘Ramayana Part I’ is slated to hit theaters this Diwali, followed by Part II during Diwali 2027.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
