Raftaar: The worst jam I have ever been caught in during rains was in Delhi

Delhi rains may have provided respite from the heat and humidity, but they have also caused waterlogging leading to jams across NCR. Daily commuters would know the frustration of getting stuck in these rain-caused jams for hours at end. But it's not just the common man who has to face these snarls. Our celebs too get caught in bad traffic during monsoon. Rapper Raftaar recounted an incident where he was caught in a jam caused by Delhi rains.Meeting us backstage before a gig in Delhi, the rapper told us, "The worst jam I have ever been caught in during rains was in Delhi. I was driving from Prashant Vihar to Okhla and it took me four hours. I was simply sitting in the car listening to music. Aur kya karta. Tab apne gaane nahi thay toh auron ke sunta tha. Aaj apne hi sun leta hoon."

In fact, Raftaar has a suggestion to Delhiites on how to avoid jams during the rains and make the best use of that time. "I would say if you are stuck in a jam or out during rains, come to one of my concerts na. Come, sit here and enjoy. Barsaat baahar hogi aur yahan aapko ek ghanta main entertain bhi karunga. You will be away from the rains and jams. Chai pakode apne laane padenge bass," he said. Now, that's an offer that several Delhiites might think about taking up.
