Over the years we have seen the idol of Lord Ganesha taking many different forms. While at one time he resembled 'Krrish', at another he rocked 8-pack abs and resembled 'Baahubali'. With the huge success and immense popularity of south films over the past year, it didn't come as a surprise to many to see Lord Ganesha in the likeness of Allu Arjun in 'Pushpa' and Ram Charan in 'RRR'. Ganesha idol inspired by Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa'

With south films wooing the Bollywood audience over, it is not surprising to see this year's Lord Ganesha idols in the avatar of Allu Arjun's Pushpa Raj and even nail his iconic pose. 'Pushpa: The Rise' earned cult status with everyone, young and old and celebrities alike, imitating the character's trade mark move in the movie. The movie that currently has its sequel in the works, was the biggest grosser of 2021.

The craze around Ram Charan's role as Alluri Sita Rama Raju in 'RRR' is real and this photo of a Ganesha idol is proof. Fans on social media could not keep calm when photos of the idol bearing a spitting resemblance to Charan's character turned up online.

Ganesha idol gets into action like Jr NTR's Komaram Bheem

Ram Charan may have inspired quite a few Lod Ganesha idols this festive season, but so did Jr NTR. A viral photo online saw a Ganesha idol in action mode with flame torches in his hands and a bunch of animal statues around him. Fans who helped the pic go viral online, were amazed to see how the makers of the idol depicted Komaram Bheem's epic action scene. The buzz around RRR is still strong months after its release with latest reports saying that the film may just be in the running for the Oscars race.

Lord Ganesha idol gets a Rocky makeover

'KGF: Chapter 2' which made a splash at the box office this year, also seemingly inspired a Ganesha idol during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. A photo doing the rounds online sees the idol in a white suit with slick gelled back hair, much like actor Yash's Rocky in the action film.
