'. Directed by Sunhil Sippy, 'Noor' is an adaptation of popular novel Karachi, You're Killing Me!, written by Pakistani journalist Saba Imtiaz. One of Sonakshi's love interests in the comedy thriller is Purab Kohli. The actor Purab plays an entrepreneur who falls in love with her. He is currently busy shooting for the official Indian adaptation of Nikhil Advani's 'Homeland'. A source confirmed it to a daily and said, 'Purab has been shooting Nikhil's show, but worked around his schedule to accommodate the shoot for 'Noor' which will start next month in Mumbai.


Set in Mumbai, the film will capture Noor's journey. 'Sonakshi represents a real girl who struggles with real-life issues. There's an immense sense of relatability to her because she, as an actress, has the courage to present her vulnerability,' Sippy said.
