Priyanka Chopra-Katrina Kaif-Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jee Le Zara’, Deepika Padukone-Ananya Panday-Siddhant Chaturvedi’s next: Upcoming films with actor trios to watch out for

Bollywood has always managed to surprise movie-goers with different and unique content. After making the audience fall in love with films like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara’, ‘3 Idiots’ and others, filmmakers are all set to recreate and bring back the magic of three actors sharing the same frame. With celebs like Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt uniting for ‘Jee Le Zara’ to Deepika Padukone collaborating with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi for Shakun Batra’s next, there are a lot of exciting projects to look forward to! Here’s taking a look at the films that will offer triple entertainment with a leading cast featuring popular trios:

Shakun Batra’s next

Shakun Batra’s untitled next features Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles. Not much has been revealed about the project. But the trio, who has collaborated for the first time, recently wrapped the film and updated the same on social media. Ananya had shared a photo dump on her Instagram handle and called it an ‘unforgettable journey’. A part of her caption read, “A film made with so much happiness, so many jokes and just pure love - a set where I felt most comfortable in my own skin and felt truly accepted and liberated to explore. I really feel like I’ve come out of this movie a changed person (and actor) because of what I’ve learned from each and every person on set.”

Atrangi Re

Aanand L Rai’s upcoming film ‘Atrangi Re’ will see Sara Ali Khan sharing the screen space with Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. The quirky pairing will be seen entertaining the audience with their solid performances. The trio has already completed shooting for the film. According to the reports, Akshay will be seen in a cameo appearance but his role is an impactful one. In March this year, Sara had shared a long emotional note and shared several pictures with her co-stars and director as they wrapped up the film. Nothing much about the film has been revealed yet.

Phone Bhoot

Katrina Kaif is all set to be seen with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi in ‘Phone Bhoot’. The horror-comedy is being directed by Gurmeet Singh. Earlier speaking about the film, Ishaan told IANS, “It is a laugh riot. Horror comedies have been done before but this is an exceptionally funny film. It's very meta in its humor, it's a film that doesn't go from gag to gag. It has a funny and interesting story but it's also just hysterical throughout. It will push me into a totally different space as an actor, I was looking for something like this. I have done a lot of work that has been intense. This will be a new fun direction to explore.”

Jee Le Zara

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt left everyone surprised after they recently announced their first project together. The girls have united for a road trip film which is titled ‘Jee Le Zara’. The film will be directed by Farhan Akhtar. Priyanka had shared a gorgeous picture with Katrina and Alia and revealed how the trio came on board for this exciting project. She had written, “Let’s rewind, to me musing about wanting to do another Hindi movie ASAP, on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai in Nov 2019. But it had to be the right one - different, cool, never been done before… I thought. The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call… to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!! Katrina, Alia, and I enthusiastically met in February 2020 (as seen in this picture), just before the world shut down, to discuss who we could trust to bring this vision to life for us and our choice was unanimous… Farhan and Ritesh, Zoya and Reema. We had all worked with @excelmovies and @tigerbabyfilms individually so this seemed perfect. It just so happened that Farhan was working on a female road trip movie at the same time! Talk about all the stars aligning!! And here we are today… #JeeLeZaraa… it only took 3 years to align all our schedules but we stuck together and got it done!”
