Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’, Deepika Padukone’s ‘Project K’, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’: Highly-anticipated pan-India movies the nation is waiting to watch

The super success of some pan-India movies in the past few years have raised the anticipation levels of the fans. They have high hopes on some of the upcoming pan-India movies; from Deepika Padukone's' Project K’, Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ to Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’. Here we take a look at some highly-anticipated Indian movies the nation is waiting to watch.

Om Raut’s magnum opus, ‘Adipurush’ will have Prabhas essaying the role of Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan. The makers of the film unveiled the teaser of the film last year. However, it did not go as anticipated. Fans were disappointed by shabby VFX and tagged it as a disaster. The film was slated to hit the theatres in January this year and was expected to lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’. However, the makers pushed the release date to June 2023.

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, which was released in the later part of 2022, received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike. The film was a hit at the box office. It starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and Sobhita Dhulipala. The makers soon announced the second instalment of the movie which will hit the theatres in April 2023.

Deepika Padukone has been roped in by Nag Ashwin for his untitled next where the Bollywood diva will be paired opposite Prabhas. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani in key roles. On the occasion of Deepika’s birthday, the makers revealed her first look from the film where she is seen as a warrior. The film is expected to release this year.

It looks like the year 2023 is going to be a treat for Prabhas’ fans. Apart from ‘Adipurush’ and ‘Project K’, Prabhas will also be seen in ‘Salaar’ this year. The film will also star Shruti Haasan in a lead role. The Prashanth Neel directorial also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran. The first look poster of the film, featuring Prabhas, was unveiled in 2021. The film is slated to hit the theatres in September 2023.

After the super success of Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rising’, the makers are all set with the second instalment of the film titled, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’. Apart from Allu and Rashmika Mandanna, the second part will also star Fahadh Faasil in a key role. The film is expected to release this year.
