According to a report in Pinkvilla, Pooja said that her involvement stemmed from her collaboration with Sudhanshu Saria on 'Sanaa,' a film delving into experiences unique to women. She highlighted Saria's ability to challenge the idea that only women can effectively narrate women's stories. She mentioned her history with Nitya Mehra, who helmed the series, tracing back to their previous collaboration on 'Everybody Says I'm Fine.'

Pooja, who is now in her 50s, shared insights on the importance of relevance in today's context. She expressed that through her 35 years in the industry, she's learned that staying pertinent can be challenging.

Highlighting the significance of self-awareness with age, she underscored that at 52, it's crucial to recognize the impact she has had. She suggested that for those above 40, it's likely they've grown up with her presence, whether through posters or watching her films like 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin' with loved ones.
