Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shraddha Kapoor – 5 Bollywood celebrities named by conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar in his statement
Several Bollywood celebrities are under the scanner as they are being named by conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar in his statement before the Enforcement Directorate. He is being probed by the central agency for an alleged Rs 200 crore money laundering scam. Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi are being probed as they reportedly received expensive gifts from Chandrasekhar. According to his disclosure statement, Sukesh Chandrasekhar has also mentioned that he has links with several Bollywood celebrities like Shraddha Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty. Jacqueline Fernandez
Several mushy selfies of Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Jacqueline Fernandez had gone viral on the internet. It was soon revealed that the actress received expensive gifts like Gucci gym wear, Gucci shoes, Rolex watch, 15 pairs of earrings, 5 Birkin bags, Hermes bangles and LV bags from the conman. As per the chargesheet, he also gave around $1,80,000 and a Porche car to Jacqueline’s mother. However, in her statement recorded before ED officials, Jaqueline said that her sister took a loan of $1,50,000 from Chandrasekhar. She also accepted that he transferred around Rs 15 lakh to the account of her brother who lives in Australia. "I have been speaking to Sukesh since February 2017. In August 2021, he was arrested, after which I never met him. He told me that he is the owner of Sun TV and from the political family of Jayalalithaa," Jacqueline told the ED.
Nora Fatehi
Sukesh Chandrasekhar also showered Nora Fatehi with expensive gifts. She reportedly received a swanky BMW from the conman. Nora has reportedly turned a witness for the investigating agency and the gifts she received are likely to be seized by the ED. A source informed IANS that Nora Fatehi had told the official during the questioning that they are ‘free to seize the BMW car gifted to her by Sukesh Chandrasekhar'.
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor’s name has also been mentioned by the conman. According to the disclosure statement of Sukesh Chandrasekhar, he revealed that he has known the actress since 2015. He has also claimed that he helped Shraddha Kapoor in the drugs case handled by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The actress was questioned by the investigating agency last year, in connection to a drug case related to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Shraddha Kapoor has not reacted to these statements by the conman.
Shilpa Shetty and Harman Baweja
In his statement to the Enforcement Directorate, Chandrasekhar had also mentioned his association with Shilpa Shetty and Harman Baweja. Chandrasekhar's disclosure statement mentioned that he had contacted Shilpa for husband Raj Kundra's conditional release, seemingly referring to Raj’s recent arrest in porn case. The conman also told the investigating agency that he knew actor Harman Baweja and was planning to co-produce his next movie ‘Captain’ starring Kartik Aryan. However, none of the Bollywood actors have confirmed these claims.
