After the success of Stree, the makers are gearing up to captivate audiences again, particularly the younger generation and children, with their upcoming horror-comedy 'Munjya'. This film introduces India’s first CGI actor, offering an exciting experience for fans of the genre.
On Friday, the makers dropped the trailer of 'Munjya' and received a good response from the audience. It provides a peek into the world of Munjya, a monstrous being whose ultimate desire is to marry his beloved Munni. It showcases Munjya's relentless pursuit of his wish, leading to chilling yet humorous encounters. The trailer also depicts the struggles of Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, and Mona Singh as they attempt to rid themselves of the creature.
After introducing captivating characters like 'Stree', the haunting witch, and 'Bhediya', the terrifying werewolf, to Indian cinema, the makers now present a different kind of monster with Munjya. Munjya can not only talk and move but also instill fear in viewers' hearts, offering a unique twist to the genre. It will also mark the first Indian feature film to feature a full-fledged CGI creature throughout its runtime.
The movie, starring Sharvari, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj, is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. It explores the myth of Munjya from Indian culture. Scheduled for release on June 7, 2024.
