Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. On its second Friday at the box office, the film received a massive push because of the festive occasion of Janmashtami. According to Boxofficeindia.com, ‘Mission Mangal’ collected Rs 7.50 crore on its second Friday and registered a massive total of Rs 132.50 crore in nine days.
‘Mission Mangal’ witnessed a jump in multiplexes in metros and is looking to rake in even more moolah with a big Saturday and Sunday coming up. The film has emerged as Akshay’s biggest Independence Day release. ‘Mission Mangal’ has surpassed the total of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ (2017), which made a lifetime collection of Rs 132 crore and ‘Gold’ (2018) which made Rs 102 crore - both released during Independence Day.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, ‘Mission Mangal’ is expected to rake in Rs 175 crore at the end of its theatrical run. The multi starrer has already entered the Top 10 highest grossing list f 2019 and currently owns the eighth spot. Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film is based on India’s space mission to Mars.
