Meet Kanpur's Katiyabaaz
Taking up real issues of a developed city, is the film Katiyabaaz.
The story is based in Kanpur and tackles the issues of power cuts in the city. And as the title of the film suggests, the centre of the film is Loha Singh, a local Katiyabaaz. He very smartly steals electricity, to keep everyone happy. From the trailer, the film has a perfect blend of Kanpur's local accent and localities.
The movie has traveled prestigious film festivals around the world and has been the recipient of many awards. It has also won the National Award for the Best investigative film. Katiyabaaz releases on August 22.
