‘Mayday’ with Ajay Devgn –Amitabh Bachchan, ‘Attack’ with John Abraham: Rakul Preet Singh’s interesting line-up of films

After the announcement of back-to-back projects, it can be said that Rakul Preet Singh is one of the busiest actors of 2021. She has managed to make her mark in the industry, and is now being considered for almost every other big-budget movie. Rakul is teaming up with Ajay after their hit film ‘De De Pyaar De’. Their chemistry was highly appreciated by the audience and critics alike. Rakul will be seen reuniting with him in ‘Mayday’. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan. Ajay will be seen directing the film and it is slated to release on April 29, 2022. Earlier in a statement, Rakul had said, “I have worked with Ajay sir in the past and extremely thrilled to be working with him yet again as his co-pilot in a film where he is not just my co-star but director too. When I decided to be an actor like all the other aspiring actors I had a dream to work with Mr. Bachchan and I am so glad that with this film my dream to share screen space with him will come true.”

In this one, Rakul will be teaming up with Ayushmann for the first time, giving the audience one more reason to look out for this interesting movie. Rakul will be seen playing the role of Dr. Fatima, a medical student. The campus comedy-drama presents Ayushmann as Dr. Uday Gupta and Rakul’s character as his college senior. While expressing her excitement, she had earlier said, “I’m super excited to be a part of Doctor G. There are many firsts in this film for me, starting with my co-star Ayushmann. I am thankful to Junglee Pictures and director Anubhuti Kashyap for bringing us together. I was in love with the script from the time I heard it. It’s an interesting story, revolving around the medical profession and set in a campus. It will provide a new perspective to the audience.”

After working with Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Aiyaari’ and ‘Marjaavan’, this will be the third collaboration between Rakul and Sidharth. She will also be working with Ajay Devgn for the third time after ‘De De Pyaar De’ and ‘Mayday’. The movie will take the audience on a laughter ride and has a beautiful message at the end which will connect with families and be relatable in today's world. The film will be directed by Indra Kumar.

‘Attack’ will see Rakul, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles. The film promises to be an action-thriller. Rakul will be seen in a different avatar. The film is based on a person who fights against terrorists for the country. It is written and directed by Lakshya Raj Anand. The film was set to release on August 14, 2020 but due to the pandemic, the film has been postponed. The makers are yet to announce the new release date.
