This is what happens when one’s making a film on a girl’s love for jewellery. During the shoot of Dus Tola, the unit realised that the gold necklace, a necessary prop in the film, was missing.
Since they had already shot a large chunk using that necklace, replacing it with another one was impossible. “Everybody panicked because it would have taken so much of time to get a replica made.We searched everywhere for an entire day, but the necklace had vanished.
We started spreading the word that the necklace was not real, but made of brass, with just a gold coating. This took the heat out of the search as nobody wanted to search for a fake. But it also discouraged the thief. The next day we found it lying in the corner,” laughs Manoj Bajpayee. Nice story. But it makes us wonder whether someone is casting aspersions on the unit’s character?
