Malaika Arora loves being called a sex symbol, talks about living her life with insecurities
For the past three decades, Malaika Arora has been known as a sex symbol in Bollywood. In her new interview, the diva said that she likes the tag and she would love to be known as a sex symbol rather than just a Plain Jane.
“I love being called a sex symbol. I have no qualms about being a sex symbol. I would rather be known as a sex symbol than being called Plain Jane. I am very happy and I like that tag (sex symbol),” Malaika said at the India Today Conclave 2023.
She further said that she is more than just a few item songs, a pretty face and a great body. She added that staying relevant for over 30 years in the industry is not easy by just harbouring on good looks. She is happy that she is not a quintessential actress but still a part of the industry where she gets all the love and respect that any actress does.
Malaika also talked about living with her insecurities every single day. She said that it is a very difficult thing for her to stay focused or stay in a space where she behaves in a way that it doesn’t get to her.
"But I have to keep my head above the water because I know every single day that is probably shoved into my face. And, you know, ‘single mother’. ‘divorced’, I am not going to hop in but it is thrown at my face every single day. So, for me, to stay above the game is very tough. These are probably the insecurities I have to deal with on a daily basis," she added.
