Madhur Bhandarkar has finished shooting half of his next film 'Indu Sarkar', which is set against the backdrop of the 1975 Emergency.

The film stars Kirti Kulhari, who plays the titular role of a stammering poetess who rebels against the system alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bengali actor Tota Roy Chowdhury.
"Completed 50 per cent shooting of film #InduSarkar. Half the battle won, half to go," Bhandarkar posted on Twitter.
The filmmaker returns to direction after 2015 film 'Calendar Girls'.
