Badhaai Ho

What happens when your parents announce an unexpected pregnancy... when you’re already an adult? That’s the hilarious premise of Badhaai Ho. Ayushmann’s embarrassment and Neena Gupta-Gajraj Rao’s chemistry make for an endearing watch. It’s a comedy with heart — filled with sharp observations about Indian family dynamics, aging love, and social taboos, told with humour and sensitivity. Perfect for watching with your own parents!

2/5

Chup Chup Ke

A laugh riot packed with mistaken identities, hilarious misunderstandings, and lovable oddballs, Chup Chup Ke is a classic Priyadarshan-style comedy. Shahid Kapoor plays a man who pretends to be mute, only to end up in a wild series of events involving a fisherman duo (played brilliantly by Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav). Every scene with the two comic veterans is a laugh-out-loud moment. Clean, quirky, and endlessly entertaining — a sure-shot hit for all age groups.

3/5

English Vinglish

Sridevi's comeback couldn't have been more graceful or grounded. English Vinglish tells the story of a homemaker who enrols in an English-speaking class while visiting the US, quietly proving her worth to a family that takes her for granted. It's uplifting, empowering, and brimming with gentle humour. The film celebrates mothers and their unacknowledged strength — making it a must-watch, especially with the women in your family.

4/5

Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke

If you're in the mood for '90s nostalgia, this one's a gem. Aamir plays the reluctant guardian to three mischievous kids, while Juhi Chawla is at her comic best as the bubbly girl who runs away from home. The film combines kids’ antics, romance, and comedy in the most delightful way. It’s light, lovable, and a film the whole family can enjoy — especially grandparents and kids.

5/5

Piku

A road trip movie with a difference, Piku is about a strong, independent daughter managing her eccentric, constipated father (played with hilarious brilliance by Big B). The film is as much about digestive issues as it is about the complexities of family bonds. With Irrfan Khan balancing the father-daughter chaos with his dry wit, Piku is equal parts funny, real, and moving.
