Karisma responded to media reports by clarifying that the debates about her career choices are just that—debates. She explained that when her mother and Neetu Kapoor got married, they chose to focus on family and children since their careers were already successful. It was a personal decision, not a restriction.

The actress also pointed out that Shammi Kapoor's wife, Geeta Bali, and Shashi Kapoor's wife, Jennifer Kendal, both continued working after marriage. She emphasized that the idea that Kapoor women are restricted from working after marriage is false, clarifying that there has never been such a limitation in their family.

Karisma Kapoor began her acting career with Prem Qaidi in 1991 and gained fame with hits like Raja Babu (1994), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Coolie No 1 (1995), Raja Hindustani (1996), Hero No 1 (1997), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Fiza (2000), and Zubeidaa (2001). She was recently featured in Homi Adajania's mystery-thriller Murder Mubarak. Karisma will be next seen in the thriller series titled Brown.
