Kangana Ranaut is all set to return to the red-carpet of the
Cannes Film Festival
this year. Kangana recently revealed that she will be donning a traditional Falguni and
Shane Peacock
saree this year.
Revealing that her clothes will reflect the theme 'Live Victoriously,' Kangana said that the clothes she will wear will have drama. At the same time as an Indian actor, Kangana feels that she has the responsibility of endorsing Indian weavers and wearing outfits that reflect our rich heritage. Her stylist Ami Patel and she have been brainstorming for weeks and they are designing a unique saree with Falguni and Shane Peacock. The idea behind the saree is to bring the forgotten weavers to the fore so that the world is more aware of our rich fabrics and culture.
The 'Manikarnika' actress also revealed that she doesn't fuss for months about her red-carpet appearances. Kangana said that she was busy with her next film 'Panga' and had to gain almost 10 kilos for the film. During trials, Kangana realised that she has to lose some weight.
Kangana also lauded
Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone for their stint at the MET Gala. In fact, when Kangana was seeing the MET Gala pictures, she thought that in India, the real queen of Camp (this year's theme) would be
Rekha. Kangana feels that it's wonderful how Priyanka and Deepika are making their mark there.
