In a recent interview with NBT Entertainment, Kangana shared that she turned down Akshay's offer for Singh Is Bliing. When he inquired about her reasons, she explained that she wanted to uphold integrity for women, emphasizing the importance of respect and values in the industry.



The actress reflected on her decision to turn down Akshay's offers for Singh Is Bliing and other films. When Kumar questioned her reluctance despite offering good roles, she explained that her stance was about upholding integrity for women, drawing on the fact that he, too, has a daughter and should understand her perspective.




In the same discussion, Kangana clarified that she avoided roles in films with prominent actors because these movies often feature women in limited capacities, confined to a few scenes and songs. She wasn't interested in such restrictive roles and preferred projects that offered more substantial opportunities.

Kangana revealed that she turned down films led by the Khans, despite their kindness and respectful behavior. She explained that these films often offer minimal roles for women, limited to just a few scenes and a song. Kangana chose to avoid such roles to set an example as a leading actress who hasn’t worked with them.

Coming back to Kangana Ranaut's present project, she will be hitting the big screens with 'Emergency', where she not only stars but also takes the reins as the director. The film, a political drama based on the real-life Emergency period in India during the 1970s, showcases Ranaut in a transformative role, capturing the tumultuous era with intensity and precision. She is joined by the ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade and more.
