Kangana Ranaut has expressed concerns about the challenges faced by women in the entertainment industry who refuse to compromise on their values and principles, especially in light of Blake Lively's sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.
On her Instagram story, Ranaut called the case "worrying" and "shameful." She compared it to issues in the Bollywood industry, mentioning the Hema Committee report, which highlighted similar problems in the Malayalam film industry earlier this year. Ranaut shared her concerns about how women in the entertainment industry, who stand by their values, are often criticized and have their careers ruined.

Taking to Instagram story, Kangana wrote, “Even in Hollywood women who refuse to compromise, they are maligned and their careers are destroyed its not just bollywood (sic) similar report called Heme Committee had come out about Malayalam film industry, it is worrying and shameful.”
Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director and co-star of It Ends With Us, on December 21, according to BBC. The lawsuit accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment and attempting to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress to her family. The complaint describes instances of Baldoni allegedly creating a hostile work environment, including discussing his pornography addiction, sharing explicit content, and commenting on Lively’s weight. The situation reportedly escalated, leading to a meeting where Lively asked Baldoni to stop his behaviour.
Justin Baldoni’s team denied Blake Lively’s allegations, with a statement to Variety saying, “It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her team would make such serious and false accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its representatives. This seems like another attempt to ‘fix’ her negative reputation, which resulted from her own comments and actions during the film's campaign. Her interviews and press activities were observed publicly, allowing the internet to form its own opinions.”
