'John Abraham can't digest bhindi, baigan now,' says fitness trainer about his discipline; opens up on Shilpa Shetty's weight loss post pregnancy
Some actors in the Hindi film industry are known for their fitness regime and disciplined lifestyle and John Abraham is one of them. The 'Dostana' actor who started out his career with modelling has continued to remain exceptionally fit and have a great body over the years. There's never been a moment where one has seen him let go off his discipline. In a recent interview, John's fitness trainer spoke about his diet and how he doesn't really eat anything that doesn't suit his body. The trainer said that John's body is so used to his diet food that his stomach gets upset now if he eats bhindi or baigan.
Fitness trainer Vinod Channa said in a chat with Hindi Rush, " “John was an egalitarian. If I would tell him to only eat four types of food, he would eat only that he won’t even touch anything else. He is that strict.” According to him, even when he encouraged John to indulge in food sometimes, he would refuse.
Recalling an incident from a film shoot, Vinod offered an example of John’s self-control. “There was this one time when I was with him when he was shooting for a film. At that time, Princess of Taiwan or some other country came. She was John’s friend and all the food at the dining table was finished. She called me and told me that see John has eaten everything. But I told her that this is not possible. I told her I am 100 percent confident that John is not even going to touch the food.”
Vinod went on to explain how years of intense dieting have altered John’s body. “John doesn’t even touch sugar. I advise him not to leave it completely because if he consumes it by mistake, then he can develop cough. John has been dieting for so long that now if you give him baingan or bhindi, his stomach will get upset. He has not eaten this for so long. He is so strict in diet. Your body adapts to that but if that thing comes in your food sometime, then body won’t be able to digest it.”
The trainer also addressed speculation around Shilpa Shetty’s dramatic transformation after pregnancy. Speaking about her journey, he said, “When Shilpa Shetty came to me post-pregnancy, she had put on 30-35 kgs. I helped her reduce all the weight in three months and then she appeared on the reality show Nach Baliye. There people told her that ‘you have done some thing (medical surgery)’. Nobody talks about the hard work that we did. A lot of people believe it and a lot of people don’t. It was a natural process.”
