Jackie Shroff pays his respect to late actor Pran at the newly inaugurated chowk named after him

To mark the birth anniversary of legendary actor Pran, a chowk in Bandra, has been named after him.



Several veteran actors of

Bollywood

paid a visit to the venue including Jackie Shroff and Hiroo Johar as well.





Also, actor Rishi Kapoor took to his Twitter to express himself about the inauguration.












Pran was famous for his villain roles in Hindi cinema. The actor was awarded the

Filmfare Lifetime Achievement award

in the year 1997. Also, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2013.

Pran passed away at the age of 93 due to prolonged illness at a Mumbai hospital in 2013.
