While shooting for Faraz Ali’s short film, Makhmaal, which stars Jackie Shroff as the main lead, the actor had to drive a vintage fiat. A day before the shoot he called up the director from his house in Pune and offered if he could get his own vintage fiat.

A day before the shoot, he called up the director from his house in Pune and offered if he could get his own fiat. While due to some reasons, Jackie was unable to bring his fiat, he was more than happy to hire an old one, which brought back some old good memories.

Another interesting incident which happened during the shooting of this film was that the makers failed to get the necessary permission to shoot in the narrow street of Worli chawls but Jackie dada didn’t care about it.

The carefree Jackie said, “All my life, I have lived in the chawls. They are my people. Don’t worry about the cops or people, they love me too much. Nobody would bother you. Focus on the shoot and finish it fast.”
Despite the scorching heat in the chawl, Jackie did not step out of it. His vanity van was parked right outside the chawl but the superstar of the ‘80s was more interested in narrating his stories about how he used to live in a chawl in Nao Batti.
