Ishaan Khatter reveals Shahid Kapoor was surprised by his accent in 'The Perfect Couple'

Ishaan Khatter, the talented Bollywood actor, has been making waves with his recent performance in the OTT series 'The Perfect Couple'. The show, which also features Hollywood stars like Nicole Kidman, has been receiving rave reviews from audiences worldwide, and Ishaan's portrayal of Shooter Dival, a charming and enigmatic character, has been particularly impressive.
He plays the role of Benji's best man and childhood friend from boarding school, adding depth and intrigue to the storyline as the wedding festivities take a dark turn. In an interview with News18, Ishaan revealed that his brother, actor Shahid Kapoor, and their mother, Neliima Azeem, were also impressed with his work in the series. Shahid Kapoor was particularly taken aback by Ishaan's accent, which he didn't expect.

The ‘Dhadak’ actor shared that his decisions regarding his character's accent were made in collaboration with director Susanne Bier while working on the series, which contributed to their positive reactions.

Ishaan's mother, Neliima Azeem, also loved his performance in the show, which Ishaan found particularly meaningful. He acknowledged that he values her feedback, even though he humorously noted that she might be biased as his mother.
