, which is produced by his wife Sutapa Sikdar among others, is said to be inspired by the bridge collapse of the Mumbai Metro in 2012. Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the trailer of the film has already generated a lot of interest. is naturally being asked all sorts of questions. While the star is often asked about his Hollywood roles, a question about Kangana Ranaut seemed to have taken him off guard.

While the trailer launch of 'Madaari' was being held, Irrfan was asked why Ranaut was not starring opposite him in

'Divine Lovers'

. The suave actor, who doesn't usually lose his cool, is said to have replied saying it was his loss. 'Kangana has gone so out of reach that I will work with her only if I wish to be a heroine. So, if a script comes along wherein she plays the hero and I am the heroine, I will do it,' the actor is reported to have said.
Kangana is said to have refused the film citing date issues.
