Imran Khan, Ameesha Patel, Fardeen Khan: Bollywood actors who stepped away from the limelight

Being a celebrity means being under the limelight constantly. However, while some rise to fame and stay on top, basking in the glory, others choose to step away. From Imran Khan, Ameesha Patel to Fardeen Khan, here are some celebrities who we miss watching on screen.

After his last outing, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ in 2010, Fardeen disappeared from the silver screen. Over the years, pictures of the actors often made it to social media and he was trolled for his weight gain. The actor, however, recently underwent a major physical transformation and is back in shape. He is reportedly going through scripts and is looking to make a comeback in films.

After impressing everyone and all with his chocolate boy looks and acting prowess in films like, ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Naa’, ‘Delhi Belly’, ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ and others, Imran vanished from films. He was recently in the news after reports of trouble in his marriage surfaced. He was last seen jetting off for a vacation with uncle Aamir Khan and his family.

Rimi has been the face of popular films like, ‘Hungama’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ and others. The actress was known for her effortless comic timing and performances. However, she, too, soon disappeared into oblivion. Rimi was last seen in ‘Shagird’ that was released in 2011. She has, many times in the past, expressed a desire to be behind the camera.

Zayed, son of yesteryear actor Sanjay Khan, made his big Bollywood debut with ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne’. Although he has films like, ‘Dus’, ‘Fight Club’, and ‘Blue’ to his credit, he received critical acclaim for his role in Farah Khan’s ‘Main Hoon Na’ co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, and Amrita Rao. He was last seen in ‘Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene’ in 2015 and has, since then, not taken up new film projects.

Ameesha got a dream debut. Her first film, ‘Kaho Na…Pyaar Hain’ opposite Hrithik Roshan, was a blockbuster. She went on to be part of some hit films like ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Humraaz’ and many others. However, she disappeared from the limelight soon and was last seen in ‘Bhaiaji Superhit’, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in 2018.
