Hrithik-Saif's 'Vikram Vedha', Ajay Devgn-Sidharth Malhotra's 'Thank God' and more: Two-hero films to look forward

The adage says, 'more the merrier' and that's certainly applicable to films that promise a talented ensemble cast. Multi-starrers or two-hero films certainly have a larger scope to be lapped upon at the box-office since fans want to come and witness these collabs! Having said that, two-hero films have been a rarity in recent times as opposed to the 90s when 'Andaz Apna Apna' saw Salman Khan and Aamir Khan team up, or when Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty did movies together. But here's some good news! The coming days promise a line-up of some really interesting two-hero films. Here's taking a look at some of these!

2/6

Vikram Vedha

While Hrithik Roshan plays an antagonist in the film and Saif plays a cop - 'Vikram Vedha' questions the line between the right and wrong. It's a remake of the 2017 south film starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. Hrithik and Saif both are big stars today with their individual qualities that they bring to the table as actors. It's quite a delight for the fans to see these two actors together after about two decades. They had done 'Naa Tum Jaano Naa Hum' in 2002. This combination is certainly one of the major USPs of the film which will help to get a good opening this Friday, of course, then the word-of-mouth will come into play.

3/6

Thank God

Ajay Devgn who's a star for many decades now and brings a lot of value to the table when he does a film - will be seen along with the current heartthrob of the younger generation - Sidharth Malhotra. This combination is like chalk and cheese and quite interesting to watch together. Hence it also brings in a universal appeal to the film since these are actors from different generations. Both of them bring in their own energy to the film and that certainly would be interesting to watch. 'Thank God' releases this Diwali, October 25.

4/6

Selfiee

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are set to team up for 'Selfiee' produced by Karan Johar. The film is a remake of the 2019 film 'Driving Licence' which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. When Akshay had appeared on this season of 'Koffee With Karan' with Samantha Prabhu - Karan and Akshay had discussed the fact that they're doing a film together and no hero was ready to come on board. Many actors rejected the script since it was a two-hero film, despite the fact that Akshay had offered them to choose the role they wanted to essay. Eventually, it was Emraan Hashmi who came on board for this. 'Selfiee' also starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty is set to release in February next year.

5/6

Pathaan

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen on-screen after more than four years in 'Pathaan' and that's a reason enough for fans to be excited for this. But, the fact that SRK and John Abraham team up for this would be quite interesting to watch. Both the actors are very different from one another and how they collab for the film, which also stars Deepika Padukone is raising our anticipation for it. 'Pathaan' is releasing on Republic Day, 2023.

6/6

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Two biggest action stars of the country from two different generations teaming up for an action-comedy - is quite a casting coup. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will be collaboratng for 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' which will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film is yet to go on floors.
