Despite the grim times, life can sometimes turn out to be a lot of fun. While you have been seeing a lot of pictures of
Geeta Basra's baby shower (she's expecting her second baby), let us tell you that she was actually tricked into it. "I had no idea that it was going to be a baby shower," she told
ETimes
, when contacted, this morning.
So what exactly happened? The story goes that Geeta got a call from one of her close friends in
London
stating that she wanted Harbhajan and Geeta to do a live interview for a certain channel called Health OK. Unassumingly, the couple got ready and sat before their laptop screen at the appointed hour, yesterday. "When names began to appear on the screen, initially, I thought they were officials from 'Health OK'. But as more and more names started coming in, I wondered what was going on," laughs Geeta.
"Suddenly, I saw the screen burst into people I knew; my sister was right there in the centre, along with some of my very thick friends from London. Hardly had I gulped, the doorbell rang and I saw a delivery man who had come to deliver a lot of décor, balloons and a big cake," Geeta revealed.
Added Geeta, "Actually, they had offered a few days back that they wanted to decorate my place while I could go down- but that was not possible. So they came up with this big surprise. It was too much fun- something that I will never forget. I had a virtual baby shower!"
Geeta is due in the first week of July.
