FWICE president BN Tiwari responds to Poonam Dhillon over Ranveer Singh ‘Don 3’ controversy; Says ‘If she knows Ranveer well she should mediate’
The controversy around actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar over ‘Don 3’ has been in the headlines after the ‘Dhurandhar’ star exited the project. Now, FWICE president BN Tiwari reacted to comments made by CINTAA president Poonam Dhillon. Tiwari said he had already contacted her and even requested her to help solve the issue if she knew Ranveer personally.
While speaking with HTCity, Poonam shared that she does not know all the details and does not want to give an uninformed opinion. She said FWICE should have taken CINTAA into confidence because they are affiliates and could have helped in solving the issue.
She said, “Banning is a very strong word for any actor especially a hardworking boy, a role model who has made it big on his own talent.”
“I had written a letter to her (Poonam Dhillon) that if she knows Ranveer well she should mediate and solve this matter. Though, this is not her department. We had received a letter from the director’s association and by Ashoke Pandit to help Farhan in the capacity of a filmmaker,” he said.
Tiwari added that it was not possible to call every association for meetings. He also said he had tried calling Poonam after her comments but she did not answer his calls.
He said, “All we said is we will not work with Ranveer till he shares his version of the case.”
He also added that anyone willing to help solve the matter is welcome to come forward.
Poonam says she was not informed
Poonam also shared that normally an artiste reaches out to CINTAA to help resolve such matters. But in this case, nobody contacted them and they only came to know about it through media reports. She added, “Normally the artiste reaches out to us and asks us to be party to resolving the dispute but in this case the artiste didn’t do so we were not aware and got to know from the media, which is not the right way to go about it.”BN Tiwari gives his side
FWICE president BN Tiwari also reacted to Poonam’s comments. He said he had already written a letter to her asking her to mediate in the issue if she knew Ranveer well.
