From talking about Aryan Khan’s career choices to making a checklist for Suhana Khan’s future boyfriend: 5 times Shah Rukh Khan spoke about parenting

Shah Rukh Khan might be a Bollywood superstar for the world but for his kids, he is just their doting daddy. Time and again King Khan has proved that his children are above everything else for him and gave us all out here some major parenting goals. From treating Aryan and Suhana equally in his house to making a checklist for Suhana's future boyfriend, here are five times the Baadshah of Bollywood got candid about parenting.

His feminist thoughts

In a country where sons get privileges more than daughters, Shah Rukh Khan has always upheld the values of equality. According to the actor, he doesn’t believe in treating his sons and daughter differently.

In a throwback interview with Femina in 2017, SRK was quoted saying, “I believe that a man in his house doesn’t have the right to go shirtless in front of his mother, sister or women friends. I tell Aryan to put on a T-shirt all the time. It's got nothing to do with having breasts. If you’d feel uncomfortable seeing your mother, daughter, sister, women friends without their clothes on, why would you expect them to accept you shirtless? Don’t do something a girl can’t do.”

On Aryan’s career choice

Shah Rukh Khan has always been supportive of his children’s life and career choices. In his previous interviews, he had revealed that while Aryan wishes to be a filmmaker, Suhana aspires to be an actress. While there have been a lot of comparisons between SRK and Aryan, the superstar feels that his son is more mature than he was at this age.

In an interview with a news portal, SRK had revealed that while watching films, they both talk about various aspects of filmmaking. The actor also added that the father-son duo also talks about getting into trouble, picking up fights, how to beat up the other guy or answer back when a guy messes with you. SRK revealed that Aryan talks about his ambitions, and where he would like to be one day. According to him, his son just wants to be bigger than him and he is completely cool with it.

On being protective about his kids

Shah Rukh Khan has always been unapologetically protective about his kids. And he demonstrated the same when he got into a fight with the Mumbai Cricket association during a cricket event. He was reportedly banned from entering Wankhede stadium for five years. In a statement, Shah Rukh stated, “I took little children for the match and 40 grown-up people came charging aggressively at me. I think my behaviour is absolutely correct. I would still do the same thing if they misbehaved with my kids or the kids that I am taking care of. Public life… The good, bad, ugly, goodness of media, the strangeness… I am part of it, not my children.”

His kids are his best friends

Pictures and videos of Shah Rukh Khan with Aryan, Suhana and AbRam on social media are proof that the superstar shares a friendly bond with them. In an interview, Shah Rukh had said, “I love my children not because they are my children, but because I have garnered a friendship with them. I am realising this, as they are getting older, they are my greatest friends. I think my mental age is between 12 to 14, so it is nice to have two friends that I can ever have.”

Checklist for Suhana’s boyfriend

Like any other father, Shah Rukh Khan is quite protective of his baby girl Suhana, especially when it comes to boys. In an interview with Femina in 2017, the actor revealed that he has a full checklist for the man who would date his daughter. He said, “1. Get a job. 2. Understand I don't like you. 3. I'm everywhere. 4. Get a lawyer. 5. She's my princess, not your conquest. 6. I don't mind going back to jail. 7. Whatever you do to her, I will do to you”.
