From Singham Again to Kalki 2898 AD: Action films to watch out this year

Action has been one of the most liked genres of movies across the globe, let's take a look at some of the biggest upcoming action flicks this year.

Varun Dhawan's Baby John is the official remake of Thalapathy Vijay's Theri. The film is going to be Varun's first out and out action film and the makers have taken the action one notch higher than the original.

Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are back with the next installment of Singham and in an interview Rohit shared that action in this one is going to be more than all his action films put together.

Allu Arjun is back as Pusharaj in Sukumar's Pushpa 2 and going by the first part , the action element in this one is only going up.

Alia Bhatt's next film Jigra is expected to have a lot of action as the film is a rescue and revenge drama. The film also star Vedang Raina from The Archies and is directed by Vasan Bala.

After Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire, Prabhas is back to larger than life action genre with Kalki 2898 AD- a story that spans from the times of Mahabharat to the year 2898 AD. The film is expected to the be the most VFX heavy film of Indian Cinema.

After RRR, Jr NTR is back on the big screen with Devara which is also the south launchpad for Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The film few months ago was announced to be into two parts as makers felt they wouldn't be able to do justice to the story in one go.

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are taking ahead the franchise of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Ali Abbas Zafar. The film is nothing like the original which was headlined by Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda.

​Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hedge star in the action drama "Deva," directed by Rosshan Andrrews. The film, follows a brilliant and a rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case.

John teams up with Nikkhil Advani once again after Batla House and it is reported that this action film is inspired by real life events.
