From 'Ajnabee' to 'Good Newwz': Here's looking back at Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor's crackling chemistry

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor's jodi is undoubtedly one of the on-screen hit jodis of Bollywood. Ever since the trailer of 'Good Newwz' has got released, fans could not stop gushing over the chemistry between Akki and Bebo. Recently, while talking about reuniting with Kareena, Akshay hilariously stated that making movies with Bebo is like going on a wild picnic.

The duo was last seen together in 2015 release 'Gabbar Is Back'. Although Kareena had a brief role in the film, her presence added weight to the story.

Filmmakers Abbas-Mustan introduced the new couple Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in their 2001 release 'Ajnabee'. The sensuous song from the film 'Mujhko neend aa rahi hai' featuring Akki-Bebo exactly captured the wife swapping theme of the film. And, of course, Akshay and Kareena had set the screen on fire with their sizzling chemistry.

The 2004 romantic-thriller saw Akshay and Kareena portraying the role of a married couple. Their on-screen act as Raj and Priya enthralled audiences. Their love story had a third angle in the form of Priyanka Chopra. All the three actors gave their best but Kareena's performance of a wife having complete faith in her husband and fighting for his dignity in the courtroom was appreciated the most. The film was inspired by the Hollywood film 'Disclosure'.

In the past, the Khiladi Kumar had once mentioned that Kareena Kapoor Khan is his lucky charm and that is why he loves working with her over and over again. Kareena made a special appearance in the song 'Chinta Ta Ta' and spiced up the track. Bebo's entry was the high point of the quirky song.
