‘Forever proud, Forever grateful’: Priya Dutt pays heartfelt tribute to Sunil Dutt on his birth anniversary
Actress-politician Priya Dutt remembered her late father, legendary actor and politician Sunil Dutt, on his 97th birth anniversary on June 6, with an emotional note.
Sharing a video montage featuring Sunil Dutt's pictures, Priya reflected on the values, lessons and kindness she inherited from her father, further saying how his presence continues to guide her every day despite his absence.
She wrote, "Now and Forever." Sharing the post, Priya penned a heartfelt tribute expressing how deeply she misses him while remaining thankful for the memories they created together. She wrote, "Happy Birthday, Papa! There are some people whose presence never truly leaves us, no matter how much time passes. You are that presence in my life. Every lesson you taught me, every value you lived by, and every act of kindness I witnessed continues to guide me every day."
She added, "Today, on your birth anniversary, I celebrate not just the remarkable life you lived, but the love, compassion, and humanity you shared so generously with the world. I miss you deeply, but I also feel grateful for every moment, every conversation, and every memory I was fortunate enough to share with you. Forever your daughter. Forever proud. Forever grateful. Love you always, Papa."
On the same occasion, earlier in the day, actor Sanjay Dutt had also remembered his father with a touching post. Sharing cherished memories, Sanjay had stated that he misses his father Sunil Dutt each day.
Talking about Sunil Dutt, the legendary actor remains one of Indian cinema's most respected personalities.
Beginning his acting journey as debutant in Bollywood with the movie 'Railway Platform', he went on to deliver memorable performances in films such as 'Mother India', 'Sadhna', 'Mujhe Jeene Do', 'Waqt', 'Padosan', 'Hamraaz' and 'Reshma Aur Shera'.
Apart from his illustrious film career, Dutt also made a significant mark in public service and politics.
For the uninitiated, Sunil Dutt passed away on May 25, 2005 following a heart attack at the age of 75.
