Flora Saini: Things you may not know about the actress

Flora Saini, the ghost in Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 'Stree' shot to fame with the film and caught everyone's attention post her allegations against producer Gaurang Doshi of having abused her in the past. Letr's take a look at some of the actresses' lesser known facts which might come as a surprise to the audiences. How Flora turned Asha: The actress has majorly done south films and is a sensation down there. In order to meet the lady luck, the actress tried her hands on changing her name. Accordingly, the film producer of her first film rechristened her as Asha Saini. She had also adopted a new screen name Mayuri as per an advice by an astrologer.

Apart from being known for her acting skills, she also have a controversial part in her life. The actress needed to fly overseas and around the country for her films during which she was arrested in the year 2008, March. Reason for her arrest was probability of having a forged visa documents. She was arrested in Chennai and was subsequently banned from the south film industry. After a few weeks, she was claimed as innocent and the ban was lifted from her gradually.

Interestingly, Flora had three of her films, namely 'Broker' (Telugu), 'Vismaya Pramaya' and 'Vah Re Va'h (both Kannada) releasing on 31 December 2010. As this was a rare occurrence at the box office. She secured her entry in the Limca Book of Records for the most number of film releases on one day.

Saini was honoured with the Uttarakhand Ratna Award.
