Exclusive: Sridevi’s personal hairstylist Noorie Ansari on how her career took a hit post the actress' demise

On the death anniversary of Bollywood’s legendary actress Sridevi, Bombay Times chats with the actress’s personal hairstylist

, who opens up about the association of many years and talks about how her career took a hit post the actress’s demise.

“I worked with Sridevi madam as her personal hairstylist since 1994. Now for small family functions I still do her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi’s hair, but that status of being a personal hairstylist is different,” she says.

After Sridevi’s demise the celebrity hairstylist has been working with other celebs on per-day basis. She adds, “In the past couple of years I have been working with Tamannaah. Then there have been a few times when Gauri Khan has hired me. But this was on project-to-project basis.”

About her journey in Bollywood as the late actress’s hairstylist, she says, “I began the association with Sridevi with Army (1996) and continued till the time she took a break from movies post her marriage. When she made a comeback with English Vinglish (2012) she got me on board. She used to pay me really well. Celebrities would contact me and try and match up to what my madam was paying me. Once she left, celebs don’t offer me the same price. Unke jaane se mere career mein bohot farak pada hai.”
