back to the cinemas. The film has been running in Maratha Mandir, located at Mumbai Central, for the last 25 years, with an exception of the pandemic-led lockdown when its run had to be interrupted. The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, that marked Aditya Chopra's directorial debut, will reboot its run at Maratha Mandir from November 13.

, executive director of G7 Cinemas and Maratha Mandir, told BT, "Yes, the film start screening in its usual matinee show from November 13. We have waited very long to say this but cinemas are back and we are in the process of preparing the theatres to welcome patrons. DDLJ had its own set of audience and that included travellers, doctors and couples from the across the city who found the cinema hall a perfect setting for their mornings. We are hopeful that they will come back. Apart from this film, we will also have Avatar, a Marathi and a Gujarati film running. We will also welcome Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari into our properties. Finally, it probably won't be all that dark this Diwali. We are in talks with the producer to see how we can celebrate the film’s silver jubilee anniversary. It is sad that we could not screen the film for so long."
