5 times Shah Rukh Khan was targetted by hate-mongers

Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly the King of Bollywood who has millions of fans around the world who love him not just for his acting prowess, but also for the kind and considerate human being that he is. But like there are two sides to every coin, there are also few others who leave no chance to attack him for no reason. Time and again SRK has been on the receiving end of hatred on social media for which there is no justification. Check out some of the instances.

For offering dua for Lata Mangeshkar

Shah Rukh Khan made a recent public appearance when he visited Shivaji Park to pay his last respects to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who passed away on February 6. The actor was seen offering a dua standing near her mortal remains after which he pulled down his mask momentarily to blow air which is a common practice among Muslims. It is said to be a symbolic way of warding off the evil eye and keeping negativity at bay. As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, ill-informed hate-mongers started targetting SRK for "spitting" near her mortal remains!

For performing Ganpati puja

Shah Rukh Khan is a secular Indian who celebrates all festivals. When he shared a picture of AbRam praying to Lord Ganesha in 2018 during Ganesh Chaturthi, the actor was trolled by bigots. Some said idol worship is 'haram' in Islam, others said he should he should teach his children to be true muslims.

For applying tilak on the forehead on Diwali

In 2019, Shah Rukh Khan shared a picture with AbRam and Gauri Khan on Diwali. The picture shows them celebrating the festival of lights in a religious way. All three of them applied a ‘tika’ on their foreheads in the monochromatic picture. The picture invited the wrath of extremists who called him a “False Muslim” for sporting a tilak! Some others said it's all just a drama to win the hearts of Hindus.

For promoting his film 'Raees'

Shah Rukh Khan travelled from Mumbai to Delhi on the August Kranti Rajdhani Express while promoting his film 'Raees'in 2017. BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya compared him to Dawood Ibrahim after a social activist of Vadodara, died, and two others were injured as the crowd went berserk to catch a glimpse of King Khan at the Vadodara railway station. "If Dawood Ibrahim comes on street, there would be a crowd to see him ... You can't gauge the popularity on the basis of crowd. I will not comment further... People have understood what it means," he had said to the reporters. The BJP leader faced the wrath of Twitterati as some accused him of giving the incident a communal hue and others asked him to leave India.

For cheering for the Indian women’s hockey team

In 2021, the Indian women's hockey team gave a tough competition to Great Britain and secured a bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Heartbreaking as it was, SRK lauded the players for the efforts that the team had. "Heartbreak!!! But all reasons to hold our heads high. Well played Indian Women’s Hockey Team. You all inspired everyone in India. That itself is a victory," he tweeted. The tweet went viral and hate mongers bashed SRK for being an attention seeker and also accused him of shedding 'fake tears' on the loss.

Have seen more 'news ' about the Dua incident rather than the hate comments. So please stop patronizing such comments made by a few by giving them unnecessary attention.... No sane person is going to misunderstand his intention but yeah such news obviously helps srk earn a lotttt of sympathy.
