Actor Abhay Arora, who plays Yasir in the film, recently confirmed that the movie’s recreation of Lyari, Pakistan, was so realistic it stunned actual residents of the area who were cast as background actors during the Bangkok schedule.
Abhay Arora reveals 'Dhurandhar 2' featured actors from Lyari
In an interview with NDTV, Abhay Arora opened up that several scenes in the movie were filmed featuring local residents connected to Lyari. He said, "There were some people in the crowd in Bangkok who are actually from Lyari, and when they came on set, they were like, it looks like Lyari. They are residents of Bangkok, and we had a local cast for these scenes, like the crowd, people walking in the back, and people cheering on stage."
The actor shared that these people were cast in Bangkok and were actually from Lyari, Pakistan.

In the same interview, Abhay Arora shared how the cast hired as background actors related to the set of Lyari in Bangkok. He said, "I saw some people getting very surprised; they were like, 'None of you guys have been to Lyari, but the details were impeccable.'"
When asked if he could mention any specific scene, Abhay said, "Whatever scenes were shot in Bangkok, some of the faces were from Lyari. Many of the crowd scenes feature those people."
