Dharmendra has been married twice and is a father to six children, Sunny, Bobby, Ajeeta, Vijeta, Esha, and Ahana.

Dharmendra’s first marriage and family with Prakash Kaur

The 'Sholay' actor married Prakash Kaur in 1954 when he was just 19 years old. The couple had four children, Sunny, Bobby, Ajeeta, and Vijeta. While his sons chose acting, his daughters decided to lead quieter lives.

Ajeita Deol pursued career as a psychology teacher

As reported by India.com and the Statesman, Ajeeta Deol works as a psychology teacher at a school in San Francisco, USA. She is married to Indian-American dentist Kiran Chaudhary. The couple has two daughters, Nikita and Priyanka Chaudhary. Nikita is a dentist, while Priyanka is both a dentist and a cosmetologist. Despite her family’s fame, Ajeeta has chosen a private life, far from Bollywood.

Vijeta Deol focused on business and family life

Dharmendra named his production company, Vijeta Production Private Limited, after her. Vijeta is married to businessman Vivek Gill, and they live in Delhi. The couple has two children, Prerna Gill, who is a writer and editor, and their son, Sahil Gill. Vijeta is also the director of Rajkamal Holdings and Trading Private Limited. Like her sister, she has stayed away from films and focused on her family and career.

Second marriage brought daughters Esha and Ahana

After marrying Hema Malini, Dharmendra had two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Esha has parted ways with her husband Bharat Takhtani and is now a proud single mother of two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Ahana is married to Vaibhav Vohra and has a son, Darien, and twin daughters, Adea and Astraia.

Dharmendra's health update

Over the past few days, rumours about Dharmendra’s health have been circulating widely. He was admitted to hospital on 1 November after experiencing breathlessness. On November 8, some reports even claimed that he had been shifted to the ICU and placed on life support.

On Tuesday morning, Hema Malini took to X (formerly Twitter) to refute the reports about Dharmendra’s demise. She wrote, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
