Zonal Director of Narcotics Control Bureau, Sameer Wankhede and his team came into the limelight once again after they busted a rave party aboard a luxury cruise ship on October 2. Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan and other accused were detained by the central agency. Recently, Wankhede lodged a police complaint alleging that he and his team members were being 'illegally stalked' by some plainclothes policemen.

Deputy DG Mutha Ashok Jain on Wankhede's accusations

While speaking to the media on Tuesday morning, Deputy DG Mutha Ashok Jain said that the stalking allegations raised by Sameer Wankhede, Jain confirmed that Maharashtra DGP has been notified about the matter. He stated, "We have informed the Maharashtra DGP. Won't like to comment any further on the matter." When he was quizzed about NCB being attacked or called out, Jain replied, "There are no attacks. Will place all material in court."

Maha Home Minister reacts to the NCB officers stalking allegations

As per the IANS report, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil on Tuesday stated that the Mumbai Police have not kept the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) under surveillance as alleged by the agency's Zonal Director Sandeep Wankhede. "No such orders have been issued, I don't think any agency is keeping a watch on them," he said. He further revealed that the officer complained to DG Maharashtra police and they will look into this issue.

Wankhede lodged a police complaint

According to our sources, Wankhede had lodged a complaint stating that he has learnt through sources that someone had been regularly following him even to a kabristan in western suburbs, which he visits to pray at his mother’s grave. The officer's mom passed away in 2015, and since then he has been visiting kabristan regularly.
