Deepika Padukone leads the pack with most number of blockbusters among Bollywood actresses

Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut with Farah Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' in the year 2007. Over 14 years in the film industry, it did not take long for the actress to make a mark in Bollywood. In fact, today she is one of the most sought after actresses and has won several accolades, including three Filmfare awards. She leads the pack among Bollywood actresses to have the most number of blockbuster films to her credit, including her debut film! With 4 blockbusters, Deepika is very close to the three Khans, with Salman Khan having 8, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan tied up at 6. As the actress turns 36 today, here's revisiting her blockbuster movies.

'Om Shanti Om' (2007)

Deepika Padukone played the female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 'Om Shanti Om' and there couldn't have been a better debut for her. While she earned a lot of love and appreciation for the film, she was also criticised for her accent and acting. The film collected Rs 78.17 crore at the box office, and Deepika even won the Filmfare award for Best Female Debut.

'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' (2013)

After a brief slump in her film career, Deepika bounced back with 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.' Her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor won several hearts. The film went on collect Rs 188.57 crore at the box office.

'Chennai Express' (2013)

In the same year, Deepika teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan once again for 'Chennai Express'. The duo recreated their magic on screens and her character of Meenamma was loved by all. The film collected Rs 227.13 crore and sweept in seven awards that year.

'Padmaavat' (2018)

Sanjay Leela Bhansali cast Deepika in the role of Rani Padmavati, and despite facing backlash from fringe groups, the film went on to make record-breaking business. Deepika earned several nominations for her role and the film collected Rs 302.15 crore at the box office.
