'Ahaan would never want anyone to hurt themselves for him': Deanne Panday recalls how 'Saiyaara' star Ahaan Panday had gotten a 'very disturbing' fan letter written in blood
Ahaan Panday became 2025's new heartthrob with his role in the debut film ‘Saiyaara’. Fans cheered and went crazy but his family was not ready for some of the scary parts of fame that accompanied. Ahan's mother, Deanne Panday, recently revealed in an interview that he got a letter written in blood from a fan.
Deanne then went on to explain how they would receive thousands of packages each month, ranging from drawings and handwritten messages to videos of young kids overseas dancing to ‘Saiyaara’ songs, shared by their parents. “Fans range from children to people in their eighties. Many letters talk about how the film or Ahaan made them feel seen or hopeful. It’s incredibly moving.”

Saiyaara's massive impact
Mohit Suri's ‘Saiyaara’, featuring Aneet Padda alongside Ahaan, captivated youth like wildfire. Theaters overflowed with crowds and fan videos exploded on social media. Overnight, Ahaan Panday exploded from being a fresh face to the generation's idol. Talking to The Nod, Deanne Panday revealed that within days of the film's release, their lives changed completely. There were photographers outside their house daily. She revealed, “We’re a very low-key family — my husband doesn’t even attend industry events. Suddenly, privacy disappeared.”Deanne then went on to explain how they would receive thousands of packages each month, ranging from drawings and handwritten messages to videos of young kids overseas dancing to ‘Saiyaara’ songs, shared by their parents. “Fans range from children to people in their eighties. Deanne Panday relieves the flood of fan mail
Panday confesses that the fan adoration sometimes leaves her deeply touched in the most joyful sense. Deanne shared that when women admire him, she feels emotional and proud. It’s a strange but beautiful feeling to see a child loved so deeply by strangers. Still, certain fan gestures have been hard to stomach. She shared details of one shocking letter that shattered the positivity. “We once received a letter written in blood. It was very disturbing.” The family responded firmly, pleading with the fan to avoid such extremes. “We told them this isn’t healthy or safe. Ahaan would never want anyone to hurt themselves for him,” she noted.Ahaan Panday on the work front
