Cinema chains celebrate Cinema Lover's Day year-round by offering low-priced tickets, and this year, due to demand, January has been selected.

Kamal Gianchandani, President of MAI (Multiplex Association of India), says, "This weekend, we’ve got a lineup of the latest films and re-releases. We are including the latest releases, such as Azaad and Emergency, along with the re-releases. We are starting the year with Cinema Lover's Day as we want to celebrate moviegoing and want audiences to come and enjoy films."

The dates for Cinema Lover's Day are chosen based on feedback from audiences and the film industry.

From Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, audiences are still turning out in large numbers for re-releases. While premium formats such as IMAX, Screen X, and 4DX will not offer tickets for Rs 112, ticket prices for these formats are expected to be reduced.

Raj Bansal, veteran cinema expert and exhibitor, says, "Watching new releases at such lower prices is a good opportunity for moviegoers."
