Chaitali Kohli remembers Ramakant Dayama’s warmth and encouragement
Chaitali Kohli fondly remembered senior and talented actor Ramakant Dayama, her co-star in Crew, who passed away yesterday. Known for his performances in Chak De! India, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, Paa, Ram Setu and Farzi, Dayama was remembered for both his talent and warmth. “He was a brilliant actor with a tremendous presence of mind. There were no filters with him, and he was always high on energy,” Chaitali said.
Recalling their time together, she added, “He was fun to work with and always contributed in helping his co-stars perform better. He was also a very loving person.” One memory that stayed with her was his support for her theatre work. “He even came to watch my Marathi play. He gave us so much love and encouragement. That gesture meant a lot to me,” she shared.
Talking about the lessons she learned from him, Chaitali said, “The most valuable thing I learned from him was to just be yourself, stay positive, and enjoy your life.”
She concluded, “I would always remember him as an actor who constantly contributed positivity to everyone’s life.”
