‘Brahmastra’, ‘Project K’, ‘Do Baaraa’: Biggest sci-fi movies to watch out for!
Beyond family dramas, thrillers and biopics, the entertainment quotient has been upped a notch with some exciting sci-fi drama. The future looks promising with movies high on VFX and futuristic narratives. From Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ to the much awaited ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ – take a look at the biggest sci-fi spectacles lined up for release.
‘Brahmastra’
The first look trailer of ‘Brahmastra’ left fans captivated with alluring graphic elements weaved into a mythological narrative. Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy promise a visual spectacle with this sci-fi drama. Set in the Astraverse, the first part of this three-part fantasy franchise is helmed by Ayan Mukerji and is slated for release in September.
'Project K'
Nag Ashwin has taken it upon himself to call the shots for an ambitious science fiction drama. Mounted on a lavish budget, this yet untitled film is referred to as ‘Project K’ and features Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead role. What’s more? Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen putting his weight behind this entertainer which will be nothing short of a visual spectacle.
‘Do Baaraa’
Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap have reunited for ‘Do Baaraa’ and it promises to be a visual spectacle. The theme of this science fiction entertainer is time travel. Anurag Kashyap and Tapsee Pannu promise an adventure transcending into time and space. ‘Do Baaraa’ is said to be inspired from Spanish mystery drama film ‘Mirage’. The film is slated for release on August 19.
‘Bhediya’
Varun Dhawan promises a never-before-seen performance with ‘Bhediya’. This horror drama is packed with supernatural elements. The film features exclusive visual effects by Hollywood studio, Mr X, that has worked on Oscar-nominated films like ‘Love and Monsters’ and Emmy-winning show ‘Vikings’. Directed by Amar Kaushik, ‘Bhediya’ also features Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal. ‘Bhediya’ is scheduled for a grand theatrical release in November.
