Brahmastra 2, Love and War, Jigra: Alia Bhatt's exciting upcoming films

On her birthday today, here's taking a look at her upcoming portfolio. From 'Brahmastra 2' to 'Love and War' with hubby Ranbir Kapoor... Alia has some aces up her sleeve.

For the sequel, Alia will return as Isha opposite Ranbir Kapoor's mythical character of Shiva. Set in a fantastical universe, the film promises to delve deeper into Shiva's family and together they will unlock some interesting secrets of the Astraverse. With its stunning visuals and intricate storyline, this Ayan Mukerji starrer is set to mesmerize audiences with its fusion of mythological themes and contemporary storytelling. This movie will go on floors after Ayan wraps 'War 2' and he had announced that the film will release in December 2026.

In 'Love and War', Alia Bhatt reunites with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 2022's Gangubai Kathiawadi, for which the actress won a National Award. This epic saga will also see Ranbir Kapoor reuniting with SLB, after his debut movie 'Saawariya', which released in 2007. Vicky Kaushal also plays the lead in this entertainer, whose narrative is still under wraps. Along with the film's announcement, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had confirmed that 'Love and War' will hit the screens during Christmas 2025.

In August 2021, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt had announcement 'Jee Le Zaraa', wherein their characters embark on a road trip filled with unexpected challenges and heartfelt connections. Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the film promised to be a celebration of friendship, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness. However, ever since it was announced, there have been no further confirmations about the release from the makers.

With 'Jigra', Alia Bhatt marks her second home production. The story of this movie revolves around the relationship of a brother and sister. Directed by Vasan Bala, this film is co-produced by Karan Johar. Announcing the film, Alia had shared, "From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started.
