Tuffy – ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’

Tuffy, the lovable little white Pomeranian in 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!', quickly found a home in the hearts of Bollywood admirers and became one of the most adored pets. Tuffy was not only cute and fun to watch as he garnered cries of laughter in a parenthesis of a cricket umpire, but he also played a significant role in the resolution of the film's climax too. Tuffy carried the love letter that ultimately revealed Nisha (Madhuri Dixit) to Prem (Salman Khan) - this action singularly brought the tale's curve to a head and allowed Prem and Nisha finally the green light to get through the emotional impasse. As the objectionable, innocent, lovable little boy, it was to the delight of the crowd that Tuffy's unsurpassed timing brought him notoriety, reminiscent now as a cherished name in sounds, and as a much-loved pet in a iconic Bollywood family film.

Bhidu – ‘Chillar Party’

In 'Chillar Party', Bhidu was not merely a stray dog; he was the soul of the film's story. He was loved first by a boy called Fatka, then later by a group of privileged children. Bhidu represented the values of friendship and love. When a corrupt politician vows to kill stray dogs, the children band together to save him, their naïve helplessness turning into an innocent movement of courage. Bhidu shamed us all into remembering that love and loyalty do not know class distinctions or birth classification, and that even the littlest dog can inspire greater change.

Entertainment – ‘Entertainment’

An entertaining Golden Retriever named Entertainment served as the star and heart of this hilarious and heartwarming movie. After inheriting the wealth of his deceased master, the dog finds himself in a hugely entertaining situation as the jealous Akhil (Akshay Kumar) seeks to claim it as his own. What proceeds is a whirlwind of laughs peppered with some clever narration, some emotional surprise, and most importantly, the bond between a man and a dog, who are not related but grow to love one another as family. Entertainment showcased charm, intelligence, puppyism and rascality, and he was more than a companion — he was a true owner of hearts. The film embraced the values of friendship, loyalty, companionship, and joy that animals bring to all our lives — with a lot of humor sprinkled on top.

Moti – ‘Teri Meherbaniyan’

The true hero of 'Teri Meherbaniyan' was not a person — it was Moti, a dog with a lot of love and vengeance in his heart. After his gentle master Ram (Jackie Shroff) is atrociously killed, Moti goes on a mission for justice. The second half of the movie is about his single-minded pursuit of killing all of the villains involved. With his expressive eyes, loyal disposition, and energetic drive for vengeance, Moti made the audience laugh, cry, and believe in the depths of a dog's love. Moti was not a character, but a representation of love and loyalty that defied the written word.

Pluto Mehra – ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’

Pluto Mehra in 'Dil Dhadakne Do' was more than a pet of the family; he was reason, observer, and narrator. Voiced by Aamir Khan, Pluto had clever, funny insights into the Mehra family's intricately dysfunctional family, illuminating their chaotic lives with warmth and humor. Through his characterization, the audience observed their faults, loves, and changes. Indeed, he was more than a narrator, as he was the core emotional underpinning of the film — wise, soulful, and in certain ways, a little magical himself. He reminds us that sometimes dogs can know us fully, perhaps more than we know ourselves.

The parrot - 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon'

The CGI parrot in 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon' remains one of Bollywood’s most talked-about characters — for all the right and wrong reasons. Overly dramatic, loud, and hilariously expressive, the animated bird added an unexpected dose of chaos and comedy to the film, becoming an unforgettable part of Bollywood pop culture.
